It's the holidays so of course you are allowed to have some. My friend Grace has a wonderful company and website called www.thechocolatenation.com. It's all about artisan chocolate and there is a myriad of offerings from small boxes, to what Grace refers to as catering blocks of chocolate which I have given as gifts due to its unique nature. Then there are the whimsical chocolates such as the domino box which I plan on purchasing. If you love chocolate, it's a must go to site. Wine is always a wonderful gift, but special chocolates bring such a smile to your host or hostess especially when they are unique! ( Also a nice thing to give yourself. )
For those of you who live in East Hampton, go to EAST HAMPTON GARDENS located on Fresno Place. No, don't eat the Christmas plants but do go inside to their magical gift shop. There are always items dedicated to entertaining and there is usually a favorite chocolate offering. This year they offer almonds dipped in chocolate that are the best I have ever had.
Ask for Ms. Chocolate Toffee Almond or Cocoa Almond. Both are winners!
